As a Member you must be take measures to ensure your online security:
- Do not write down your PIN & don’t use easily known PIN codes like your birthday or your address etc.
- Do not leave your banking session on your computer when you have finished. Please close it down
- Common ways that fraudsters try to comprise your information include some of the following
- Infect your computer with spyware or viruses with the purpose of stealing your account and password information
- Phishing attacks to trick Members into disclosing your account and password to the criminal
- Compromising your wireless network
- Identity theft
Security measures Members can take:
- Do not give your PIN to anyone
- Do not disclose you’re banking details to anyone online disguising themselves as a Credit Union or Bank. We do not contact you to gain such data
- Beware of strange emails from unknown senders. Do not open, just delete
- You must be alert to possible changes on your computer
screen which could mean someone has taken over your computer
